Well, as for Grisham, whom I mentioned above, as I said his main concern is the field of law because it's his field and each of his novels tackle justice, the law, law firms, cases but in a very interesting way and you never feel bored or feel it is hard for you to follow the details. His style is so simple that he makes you absorb all legal details without much effort and you even try to work out the case along with him!! He is fantastic and he mixes mystery with love with compassion with crime with social faults all together with the courts and legal briefs

Well, as a matter of fact, I have never been limited to reading what I studied at college only because I am a book worm :) so I read anything that comes under my hand and my love for English literature goes back to my primary school and I thank God that my dad saved a great library for me at home, so I could eat any book I found in my way!!! Of course, I started with book for Charles Dickens such as Oliver Twist, A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations, Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre, Oscar Wilde's plays, Shakespeare's plays, then developed my readings in the middle till I reached Grisham, Danielle Steel, Sydney Shildon and Stephen King

Of course, I heard about Tom Sawyer but frankly I have never tried to read it, but you encouraged me to do so and when I start with it, I will tell you my opinion :)z

I adore "Pride and Prejudice", if I tell you that I have read it not less than 6 times, you won't probably believe me!!! But I have!!! And I watched several movies adapted from the book. Well, this novel and Jane Eyre are my favourite books really

Well, dear, as a matter of fact african-american literature has never been the field of my study or my interest, and I do not know much about that field indeed. Perhaps you can try the American cultural council's library for that. you will find loads of books there that can help you

As for linguistics, I am afraid that I can't help you about that either because I do not have much interest in that field. I mean, my readings about it were only for study but I do not read much about it now

Lovely and interesting topic...i am so pleased that there are members interested in such stuff...i thought that everything was in arabic here!!!! and i was about to lose hope..but thank you anyway. i am in love with Jackie Collins and read almost all her novels. (Hollywood Stars, Hollywood Husbands, Hollywood Wives, American Star.......etc). The best thing about her is that she is so real in what she writes, its like she mzkes you live and enjoy the novel as if you were part of it...She is FAB!!! Her books usually talk about real life stories mostly in hollywood, and (sad enough) its all gossip, ..don't misunderstand me....but i really like her...i also like books that talk about (women's) real experiences that they turn them into novels such as (not without my dughter) and
sold and promise to nadia.....etc..they are just so great, if you know of similar book...please let me know..good luck
