Gauge is not important
Deside on the number of beads you want and string them on to your crochet thread befor starting. Keep sliding them down on your thread as you work until you are ready to use them.
Ch 11 loosely
R1… dc in 8th ch from hook, ch 2, skip 2 chs, dc in last ch (for all other rows, dc in last dc made), ch5, turn (2 spaces)
R2… dc in next dc, ch 2, skip next 2 chs, dc in next ch, ch 10, turn (4 space square made, do not fasten off at the end of last 4 space square)
Repeat R1 and R2 to desired length. For children, 8 - 4 space squares should be sufficient, for adults, 10 - 4 space squares. It is your call :o)
OUTSIDE EDGING:
Ch 1, sc in same space, repeat to within last 4 space square, 7 sc in next 3 spaces, (2sc in next 2 space, 7 scs in next space) repeat down other side to within last 4 space square, 7 scs in next space, 6 scs in last space (this is the same as the other bead spaces counting the first sc made)
Weave ribbon in first space from the bottom leaving at least 2-1/2 inches from end, down the next space. At this point, flip the choker over and put a small dab of glue where the ribbon starts and at the last point. (see below)

Make 2 the same: Make a starting lp. *Pull up a bead. Ch1. Rep from * 10 times more. Ch3. (Insert hook in back lp on top of next bead, yo, pull up a lp. Yo, pull through 1 lp on hook twice.) Rep bet () across. Yo, pull through all lps on hook. Ch1. Fasten off. Weave ends into back of work. Insert posts through work just under one of the end beads to hang in the direction that you want it to hang. Enjoy!
