Hello Ladies!
My name is Anne. I usually frequent another mommy/TTC board but there are very few High FSH women there. Many people have a hard time understanding what the diagnosis means.
I was diagnosed with High FSH in April 2004 with an RE. I was 30 years old. My cd3 FSH was 33. Yeah. Talk about a shocker when the RE's nurse told me over the phone how sorry she was and that DE was still an option. WHAT? I'd never heard of High FSH, let alone what it actually meant... and donor eggs? huh?
With clomid, my CD10 FSH was 25- still outrageous.
Anyway. That was such a tragic thing to hear. My husband and I had been married almost two years and had been actively TTC for a little over a year at that point. We were in the middle of building our house and I was finishing up my Bachelor's degree at the time. SO, it wasn't a good time to get involved in TTC at the clinic.
We waited to start until August 2004. The RE let us try injectable stims and IUI. The first cycle was negative. The second cycle was positive - but eventually found to be ectopic. That was a heartbreaker if there ever was one.
After my ectopic was resolved with methotrexate injections, I had a followup HSG done to make sure my tubes were still in good shape. That test went well and we were set up to start another IUI when my next cycle started.
We waited... and waited... and waited... my cycle didn't start. I was getting frustrated, actually quite ticked... mad that my body was being a PIA once again.. uncooperative.
One night at work I realized I was three days late. I'm an RN in a hospital BTW.
A lab tech drew an HCG for me. I wanted to know why my body wasn't 'behaving'.
LMAO! I was pregnant!!!!! .. yeah, and I was 'mad' at my uncooperative body. Go figure.
My little boy, Andrew, was born September 12, 2005. He's perfect in every way.
We are so overjoyed to have beat the High FSH odds and have this little guy in our lives. He's now 8 months old.
Dh and I are scheduled to return to the RE's office May 25th for a returning patient consult.
We are going to try IUI's again in hopes of a sibling for our baby boy.
Praying that lightening strikes the same uterus twice.
هذة المراء تقول انها اكتشفت ان هرمونها fsh ثالث ايام الدوره كان 33 وعمرها 30 سنه والطبيب اخبرها لابد من استخدام البويضات من امراءه ثانيه وقالت انه كان خبر مأساوي وكانت وزوجها يكملان بناء منزلهما واكمال دراستها انتظرت اربع اشهر وبدأت المنشطات وعملت التلقيح الصناعي الدوره الاولى فشلت (وهذا الكلام لهلو كيتي ) الدوره الثانيه نجحت وحصل الحمل ولكن خارج الرحم وتحطم قلبها ونزلت الجنين ثم انتظرو ليبدؤا الدوره القادمه لكن الدورة لم تأتي وانتظرت وانتظرت وفي احد الليالي اكتشفت انه قد مر 3 ايا عليها من تاخر الدوره فعملت اختبار الحمل وطلعت حححححححححححححححححححححححامل وفرحت شديد وجابت ولد سمته اندرو

When I started to ttc, my FSH was 45, low antrals, wacky cycles, and hot flashes, at 38. After 8 IUI's with frozen donor sperm (single mom), I conceived him on a natural IUI cycle. CD8! I knew the signs, fluids, temp, and I went in for an u/s on CD8 and they found a 26mm follie, so I did a double insem (that day and the following). Voila! So don't buy into their stats. It's their crutch. If you were stage IV cancer patient, would they tell you go to home and die or would they try to do whatever they could to treat you? All we're asking is for the same treatment. It's those people with focus and determination and dedication to purpose that overcome obstacles. Whether it's IF, cancer, paralysis, or other challenges. Explore options, physical/mental/emotional, and keep your eye on the prize!
تقول انها بدات تفكر في الحمل وfsh حوالي45 وعندا بويضات قليله جدا ودورتها غير منتظمه وتحس بهبات الحرارهو عمرها 38 وبعد 8 محاولات تنشيط وتلقيح صناعي (أنا لاحظت انو الخوجات الي عندهم الهرمون عالي يلجئون الى نوعان من العلاج اما التلقيح الصناعي iui أو اطفال الانابيب ivf لكن احنا العرب بس يدونا منشطات مع انو نسب الحمل تزيد مع استعمال الطريقتين )وحملت بالمحاوله التاسعه بدون منشطات فقط تلقيح صناعي ذهبت عند في اليوم الثامن وعندما وجدت ان البويضه كبرت الى 26 قالت اعمل مرتين التلقيح الصناعي واستغل الفرصه وفعلا الحمل حصل وتقول اياكم تصدقوا الأطباء لو كان عندهم مريض سرطان لا امل في شفائه يحاولون معاه لاقصى حد بس لما يجوا لنا وللfsh يقولوا مفيش امل لا تيأسوا ابدا

My protocol is below.
I am 35. At the time I was 34. My fsh was 7, 9, 12 and 33! :o The REs that I visited told me I only had a 1-2% chance and to find an egg donor. I heard that over and over and over again. Then we found a high fsh friendly RE who was very enthusiastic and optimistic. That was key. If anyone ever needs a referal in the SF/Bay Area, CA, let me know.
The first cycle was in March 2007. My FSH was 9 something. It failed. The second cycle was in June/July 2007. My FSH was still 9 something and it worked. Now I have twin boys who are turning 3 months old on Tuesday.
I can still hardly believe it. They are truly miracles.
Please don't give up. Keep the hope and faith. Take it as far as you can... emotionally and financially and get lots of support. I almost gave up. I am so glad I didn't. IF is so awful. I wouldn't even post here until now because I was still messed up even after they were born, like they were going to go away or something. HANG ON. I always say us high FSHers ARE going to get pregnant, it just takes us a lot longer, that's all.
Successful cycle (for me):
3 weeks bcp
Start period
Lupron 150 alone for three days a.m. and p.m.
Lupron 150 a.m. and p.m.
Menopur 450 a.m.
Gonal-F 350 p.m.
Stimming total of 12 days
Dexamethasone - one pill every evening
After retrieval, one medrol pill daily for 3-5 days
Progesterone supps. 3 times a day
I did wheat grass shots every other day, exercised, did caffeine and alcohol in moderation and made sure to connect with other high FSHers here for great support!

تقول ان عمرها 35 وعندما كانت في 34 ارتفع هرمونها من 7 الى 9 الى 12 الى 33 وان طبيبها قال ان فرصها في الحمل لاتتجاوز 1او2 في الميه
ذهبت الى طبيب اخر وبدأت اطفال الانابيب اول مره كان هرمونها انخفض الى 9 ولكنها فشلت ثاني مره كان هرمونها ايضا 9 ونجحت وانجبت توئم اولاد وهم الان سيكملون 3 اشهر تقول انها تكاد لا تصدق وانها لم تدخل النت مده طويله لعدم تصديقها انها حصلت على هذه المعجزه وتقول انه يجب على من اصيبت بهذا المرض ان لاتتوقف عن العلاج مهما كلفها هذا من الايذاء العاطفي او المادي وان تصبر الى اقصى حد ممكن
وان من اابتليت بfshستحمل(ان شاء الله) ولكن بعد وقت طوووووووووووووويل
وتشرح علاجاتها وهي عباره عن حبوب منع حمل لمده 3 اسابيع ثم المنشطات والبرجسترون بعد ارجاع الاجنه
واخذت الكثير من عصير عشبه القمح ورياضه وقللت من القهوه وكانت تستعين بصديقاتها في النت الذين لديهم ارتفاع في fsh وتتشجع معهم I am currently 39 years old and was diagnosed with POF at 29. I had been on birth control pills for a number of years and always had a normal cycle. When I was 29 I decided I wanted to try and have a baby. I came off the pills and had about 8 periods over the next 6 years. Needless to say my FSH levels were through the roof. When I was 37 I was diagnosed as menopausal... I was devastated. I went on HRT for about a year... it helped with the night sweats and hot flashes. Then I decided to give my body a break and see how i felt without the HRT. I had some flashes, but nothing that wasn't copeable. I got my period twice in the following 2 years.
So here I am, finally accepting the fact that it is not my destiny to have a child... then all the rules changed... I just found out last week that I am 9 weeks pregnant!!!!
I'm thrilled that I'm being given this blessing and opportunity. If my story gives one person hope, then it was well worth the time it took to post it!
Don't lose faith!!

تقول انها شخصت كحالة سن ياس مبكر عندما كانت في ال29 وكانت تاخذ حبوب منع الحمل و تأتيها الدورة منتظمه وعندما تركت الحبوب وارادت ان تحمل اتتها الدورة 8 مرات خلال 6 سنين وكانfsh في اعلى حدوده s.عندما اصبحت في 37 وصلت الى سن اليأس اخذت الهزمونات التعويضيه التي ساعدتها في هبات الحرارة و التعرق الليلي ثم اوقفت الهرمونات التعويضيه لترى كيف سيتصرف جسمها وفعلا رجعت هبات الحراره لكن خفيفه وجاتها الدوره مرتين فقط خلال السنتين التاليتان
والان ها انا اخيرا تقبلت حقيقة انني لن يكون لدي طفل ولكن القواعد تغيرت اخيرا علمت قبل اسبوع انني حامل في الاسبوع ال9
لذلك لا تفقدوا الايمان

قصه أخرى رائعه لامراءه كان هرمونها 45 ودورتها قليله جدا وعندها اعراض سن اليأس من هبات حراره وعمرها 38 عملت 8 iui يعني 8 تلقيح صناعي وحملت ابنها في المره التاسعه بدون ادويه فقط تلقيح صناعي في اليوم الثامن من الدوره ذهبت الى المستشفى وعملت موجات فوجدت ان هناك بويضه واحده حجمها 26 فعملت تلقيح صناعيي يومان وراء بعض وحملت به تقول لو كنت مريض سرطان لاهتمو بي اكثر من هذاولفعلوالمستحيل لانقاذي لكن الاطباء يظلمون مرضى ارتفاع fsh
