السلام عليكم ..
شكرا ليكي على مساعدتنا ..ممكن أطلب منك تكتبيلي موضوع عن أسوء سفرة سافرتيها ويكون قصير ومفهوم ..وشكرااااا ليكي كثير .
I'm back in Rio de Janeiro again after a horrible flight. It started with the plane from Chicago to São Paulo being one hour late, which meant that I didn't arrive in time for my connection flight from São Paulo to Rio.
The United ground staff had everything taken care of, so when I got off the plane they handed me my new ticket for the next available Varig flight to Rio.
Once I got to the gate, I noticed that the flight was an hour late, so I located an power outlet and brought out my laptop to hack away on an enhancement to RBAC I am working on. After one hour we got to board the plane, and now is where the real fun begins...
Five minutes after takeoff while the captain was talking about the weather in Rio, there was a loud grinding noise and you could feel a vibration in the plane, and the captain stopped talking mid-sentence. Ten seconds later you could hear the left engine shut off and spin down while the plane started to turn back towards the airport.
The captain announced that we had lost an engine, and they were returning to Guarulhos. Safety before convenience! No argument from me.
When we landed a stewardess announced that we had to get off the plane while they arranged alternate flights for us, and we were to be given lunch at Terra Azul. We were given a laminated paper which read "in transit" and got herded past imigration and customs without having to show a single paper.
After having had lunch with two guys from LA, we were sitting in the restaurant wondering when they announce the replacement flight, but decided to take the matter into our own hands. We headed up to the terminal and found a long line of out co-passengers queueing. We asked what was happening, and got told that we would get our new tickets here, so we got in line. After having stood there for a while someone in front of us started to speak angrily with the person at the ticketing desk and it turned out that they would not transfer our luggage. We had to bring it here ourselves, but no one knew where it were. The last passengers who left the flight had been told to pick up their luggage, so they already had it.
Now we headed down to the "lost and found" to see where our luggage was. When we got down there a Brazilian woman were chewing the ass off one of the Varig agents working there. She too had not been told to pick up her luggage and wanted to get it so she could check in again. It turned out that it was down in the baggage claim area behind the customs check. We spent some time to find someone who could help us get back in there, up streams through the customs area, and found our bags neatly piled beside carousel number 8.
Now we could head back through customs again, over to the long line of angry people, but now we were at the very end again. After having waited in line for a while, a Varig agent called out that all passengers on flight 9995 to Rio de Janeiro should follow her. So I grabbed my bags and followed her into the security check area where we were told by the security staff that we must check in our bags - which we had been waiting in line to do! Arrgh!
Back again at the check in desk we got the Varig agent to take care of our bags and check them in on the 1600 flight to Rio, and we could head back to the security screening again. Once we had passed that, it I was faced with a confused immigrations officer, as they had let me in to Brazil without filling out any papers, but a few minutes of explanation straightened that out.
Now I could finally go to the gate and have a seat, only 30 minutes before the plane should leave, which did not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling as there were not any plane at the gate yet. After 10 minutes they made an announcement that there would be a 45 minute delay, which in reality turned into a one hour delay. At 1700 the plane finally left the ground and headed for Rio without any furher incidents.
More than six hours later than expected I walked out of Galeão (the international airport in Rio) and jumped into a cab and headed for Flamengo. The only bright part of the trip was that my bag came out 4th on the belt!

Have you ever felt like someone just pressed the Fast-forward button on your day and before you know it the day is over and you are sitting there wondering what you've accomplished?
I love to organize and with working Part Time outside of the home and FULL-TIME at home with my business, 4 children and Husband I really rely on a schedule and many time management tips to keep my sanity (ok, so some of you think I am already insane, I won't argue with that) but at least I am organized ;)
Here are a few of my favorite Time management Tips:
1. Meal Planning: Try planning 1 - 2 weeks worth of meals at a time and write them down on a calendar. Do your shopping accordingly and prep tomorrows dinner today. You will be AMAZED at what a time saver this is.
2. To-Do Lists: I know most people HATE them but they actually do work. Just take a few moments out of your day (either in the morning or in the evening) to make a list for that day or the following day. Be sure to only put down the items that you MUST finish on this list.
3. Delegate: Do you have friends, a husband, children that can pitch in and do a few things for you? If so, be sure to use all of your resources.
4. Morning Rush: Scooting the children out of the door can be a huge time eater! Be sure to prepare lunches, lay out clothes and plan your breakfast the night before. This will make your mornings run a tad smoother.
5. Just say "NO"!: Such a small word that carries a might punch! If you truly can't fit something into your schedule and it is not urgent, just say No!. Keep a list of non-urgent things that you can do on hand for when you do have some down time.
Well, those are just a few of my time management tips. I personally set aside about 15 minutes a night and sit down with my Palm Pilot and make a short TO-DO list for the following day and it is amazing at the time this save.
Also be mindful of your own body. Are you a morning, afternoon or night person? Try to schedule your most time consuming tasks when you have the most energy.
