Work is a treasure
A man who was dying said to his three sons: "My dear sons, I have nothing to leave to you except this small house and the vineyard which is near it , but in the vineyard is buried a great treasure, Search diligently and you will find it.
When he was dead, his sons dug up the whole of the vineyard, but found neither gold nor silver nor precious stones. However the next year in consequence of the earth being so well dug, the vines produced a larger quantity of grapes than they had ever done before and the young men became rich. Then they understood the meaning of their father's words, and over tile entrance to the vineyard they carved in large letters,
" Work is a treasure" .



Union is Strength
The sons of an old countryman were always quarrelling, with one another, and although the father often warned them of this habit, his words had no effect.
At last he thought of a plan to make them see their errors. He called them to him, and told them to bring some sticks.
When they were brought to him, the old man took them and made a bundle of them (the sticks) and ordered his sons, one after another to break the bundle; but they could not.
Then he untied the bundle and gave them the sticks to break, one by one, which they easily did.
Thereupon the father said" As with the sticks, so with you, my sons". If you agree, an enemy will not be able to harm you: but if you disagree you will easily become a prey to the power of others.
