The Water Cycle
Nearly , three quarters of the world is covered by water . There are two kinds of water : fresh and salt water . Fresh water is found in rivers, lakes and wells . Salt water is found in seas and oceans . We can’t drink water because it is too salty. About 90% of all fresh water in the world is in Antarctica . It is not used because it is remote .
Water is very important in our lives . It has many different uses. Water is used for drinking , cooking , making electricity and irrigating crops .
Conservation : An Urgent Need
It is dangerous problem that millions of animal and plant species face extinction . There are several reasons for this . One is that man hunts and fishes too efficiently . He uses helicopters and machine-guns . Another reason is pollution of the environment . The main cause of extinction is deforestation .Men cut down forests to create the land for agriculture . They also need wood for fuel and for building .
Air Travel in Saudi Arabia
Our airline started in 1946. There were only four airports in Jeddah , Riyadh , Hofuf and Dhahran .The trip took four and half hours. Until 1954, only Jeddah , Riyadh , Hofuf , Dhahran , Taif and Madinah received regular flights . Then, air travel began to expand . More modern airports were built . The Saudi Arabian airlines acquired larger and faster airplanes . Air travel increased because air fare reduced by 25%. Now , Saudia has twenty domestic destinations and it has more then 100 planes . Flying is enjoyable and comfortable . Sometimes , air travel is dangerous . It is also expensive .
The Holy Month of Ramadan
Ramadan is the ninth month in Islamic calendar . All adult must fast Ramadan . They are not allowed to eat or drink between dawn and sunset . Fasting strengthens a person by increasing his self-control . It also helps a Muslim to remember Allah and his obedience to Him. Some are excused from fasting . Some may be too old or too ill. Others are on journey. Women who are expecting or nursing a baby can not fast. Eid Al-Fitr comes after Ramadan . Muslims all over the world celebrate it . Muslims enjoy themselves with friends and relatives.

Conservation means protecting the environment. Millions of animals and plants face extinction like tigers, elephants and pandas. There are many reasons for extinction like hunting and fishing, pollution and deforestation. People should protect animals to solve this problem.

Fasting Ramadan is the fourth pillar of Islam. All adult Muslims must fast during the daylight hour. Some people are excused from fasting like too ill and too old people. At sunset, Muslims break their fast with dates and water. There is a special night known as “Lialatul Qadr”. After the last day of Ramadan, there is a celebration called
Eid-Al-Fitr.

Transportation is the way how people get from one place to another. It can be divided into air travel, land travel and sea travel.
Air travel has developed in Saudi Arabia . However, the first airplane in the country was given to King Abd Al-Aziz by the American president . It was Douglas DC-3. Then, three airplanes formed the first Saudi fleet which was only used by the royal family and government officials. Since that time, Saudi Arabian Airlines has got great progresses. Nowadays. there are a lot of modern and wide-bodied planes like Tristar, Airbus and Boeing 747.
Year by year you can notice the developments in air travel in Saudi Arabia. It has become one of the world-wide airlines.
