I started this scarf (the burgundy/gold one) on Thurday night (June 3, 2004). I had made a PS/COS scarf before, but I needed a POA style scarf to wear while I saw the new Harry Potter movie. I finished it Friday -- while I was at the theater. As soon as I sewed in the last end and put my stuff away, the lights went out and the trailers started. Just in time!
This is how I made it. Materials: I hook. Burgundy yarn. Gold Yarn. Scissors, yarn needle.
With burgundy yarn, ch 32. Dc in 4th ch from hook, and in each chain across.
Edited on 11/9/05: For the thinner scarf, ch 21. Dc in 4th ch from hook, and in each ch across. Continue on with pattern.
*Ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc.* Ch 3, turn. Repeat from * to * for 9 rows.
Change color to gold. With gold, ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc across.
Change back to burgandy. *Ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc across* Repeat for 2 rows. Change to gold. With gold, ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc across.
Repeat in between brackets until scarf is desired length, ending with 10 rows of burgundy. Add fringe if desired.
