Materials: Sport-weight yarn Cuddlesoft(100% Acrilan Acrylic by Caron: Jacket, Bonnet and Booties: 3 skeins (5oz) White (MC); 1 skein (2oz) Lilac (CC). Crochet hooks, sizes F & G or size needed to obtain Gauge. 3 1/4 yards of 3/8" satin ribbon. Yarn needle.
Gauge: 20 sc and 23 rows = 4" with larger hook. To save time, take time to check your gauge.
Notes
Change colors as follows: In last st before changing to new color, work until 2 loops remain on hook. With new color, yarn over and draw through last 2 loops on hook.

Row 1: With RS of Jacket toward you, having WS of Armhole facing, and using larger size hook, join MC with sl st in first dc of Armhole, ch 1, sc in same st and in each dc across--41 (44) sc.
Row 2: (RS) Rep Row 2 of Body--41 (44) dc.
Rows 3-14 (18): Rep Rows 3-6 of Body 3 (4) times. Fasten off CC only.
Sleeve Ribbing
Row 1: With smaller hook, ch 8 loosely, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across--7 sc.
Row 2: (RS) Sk first 2 dc on Sleeve, sl st in next 2 dc, turn; sk sl sts, sc in back lp only of each sc across--7 sc.

Fold Brim matching the dc rows of Brim to the dc rows of Bonnet. SACQUE: Yoke-With Size 2 Bone Crochet Hook ch 48.
Work 9 rows of d c, st for st. On the next row, work over 14 sts for shoulder, ch 12 at neck edge. Work back and forth over the 26 sts for 9 rows. Fasten off.
Omitting center 18 sts for back of neck, attach yarn and work other side to correspond. Join at underarm with a ch of 8.
Starting at left front edge, work back and forth in shell st pattern, as described for center of carriage cover, working the shell st with 3 d c instead of 5, for 20 rows. Fasten off.
Sleeves-Starting at center of underarm ch, work 12 shell sts across row. Work back and forth in shell st for 14 rows. Work 6 rows of s c for cuffs. Sew underarm seams.

Row 4-* Work 1 s c in each of first 3 sts, 1 d c around the post of the d c of previous row, inserting hook sideways; repeat from * around row. Continue increasing 1 st in each gore for 12 rows. Omitting 1 gore for back of neck, work back and forth in shell st over remaining 5 gores as described for sacque for 12 rows.
Work 1 row of s c across neck edge of cap skipping every other st. Work 4 rows of s c, st for st, for neckband. Fasten off. Work 6 rows of s c, st for st, across front edge of cap.
With Art. Silk, work 1 row of shell st. Fasten off.
BOOTIES; Ch 9. Work back and forth in s c for 8 rows.
Ch 26 and join to beginning of last row. Work 8 rows of s c around the 3 sides of square and the 26 ch. Fasten off and sew tog. across bottom.
Starting at center of back on top of boot, work back and forth in pattern for 3 in. Fasten off. Sew back seam.
Make a ch 14 in. long and lace through as illustrated. Trim with tassels at each end.
