الملك فهد بن عبد العزيز ولد في 16 مارس 1920 في الرياض . الملك فهد متحدث بارع , وقوي وملك عادل . حريص على لقاء المثقفين والأدباء ولا يخلو مجلسه من هذه الفئة المتعلمة . ويتميز أيضا بالصبر ورحابة الصدر والعفو . في عام 1953 م عين وزيرًا للمعارف . وأصبح وزيرا للداخلية عام 1962 م . وفي 13 يونيو 1982 م تولى الحكم بعد وفاة أخيه الملك خالد . وفي أول نوفمبر 1986 م صدر أمر ملكي باستعمال لقب (خادم الحرمين الشريفين) بدلاً من لقب (صاحب الجلالة) . ومن أهم أعماله افتتاح مجمع الملك فهد لطباعة المصحف الشريف في المدينة المنورة , انشأ وزارة الشؤون الإسلامية والأوقاف والدعوة والإرشاد , افتتاح عدد من المطارات في مناطق السعودية , الاهتمام بالحرمين الشريفين حيث أمر بتوسعة المسجد الحرام و المسجد النبوي . وأخيرا , لحسن الحظ نحن لدينا مثل الملك فهد . ونحن نشكر الله على هذه النعمة العظيمة .
