The Present Continuous Tense
زمن الحاضر المستمر
The present continuous tense is used to show an action happening now.
Example:
-He is playing now.
Right now, I am reading.
يستعمل الزمن الحاضر المستمر ليُعَبِّر عن حدث يحصل الآن.
مثال:
- هو يلعب الآن.
- الآن، أنا أقرأ.
The present Continuous has the following form:
verb to be (present) + main verb + ing.
Example
am / are / is + work + ing.
ويستعمل الزمن الحاضر في الصيغة التالية:
فعل(( to be في الحاضر+ الفعل الرئيسي + (ing).
ملاحظة:
1 ـ يحذف حرف (e) من آخر الفعل عند إضافة(ing)
(ing) living = ing + live
2 ـ يضاعف الحرف الأخير إذ سبقه حرف علة عند إضافة (ing)
stopping = stop
