PALTALK RULES OF CONDUCT
By agreeing to the Terms of Service of the License of the Paltalk software, you agreed to be bound by and to observe the following Rules, which Rules may be changed from time to time without notice.
DOWNLOADING PALTALK/LOGGING IN
To download and install PalTalk you must be at least 18 years old. No one under the
age of thirteen is permitted to use PalTalk. No one between the ages of thirteen and eighteen may use PalTalk without adult supervision. Parents and guardians assume all liability and responsibility for the use of their accounts, including, but limited to, use of their accounts by any person under the age of eighteen.
Any User permitting PalTalk to be used by a minor (a person under the age of eighteen), faces disciplinary action, including, but not limited to suspension of such User's account or a banning of such User from PalTalk. If a child under thirteen has access to your computer, we strongly recommend that you DO NOT save your PalTalk password, which will restrict any unauthorized user from using your account.
In addition, we strongly recommend that you check regularly to see if any new, unauthorized accounts have been created under your PalTalk account. To delete unauthorized accounts click
USING PALTALK
1. Paltalk's goal is to be an open platform for communication. However, if your use of Paltalk interferes with the use or enjoyment of Paltalk by another Paltalk user or adversely affects the software, the Company or its business, you may be subject to disciplinary action, including, but limited to being bounced from a room, being banned from a room, being suspended from Paltalk or being banned from Paltalk. If you are suspended or banned from Paltalk, you will forfeit any fees you may have paid for the period of suspension or banning.
2. Group Chat Rooms are "rated" in order to enable users to determine what language and images are appropriate and may be expected. The ratings are guidelines that are enforced by the administrators of each chat room, and are not to be regarded as an assurance that the content will be safe or acceptable to you or your children. For example, in a "G-Rated Room," no foul language is permitted, nor are pictures involving adult themes (nudity or violence, for example). In an "R-Rated Room," some offensive language and content may occur; accordingly, you must be 18 or older to participate. In an "A-Rated Room," you should expect offensive language and content and again, you must be 18 or older to participate. PalTalk is not liable for any assumptions that you make when entering any given chat room.
3. If you violate the Paltalk rules or rules of a specific Group Room, you may be disciplined. Reasons for being disciplined include, but are not limited to:
Being abusive of, or making threats to, another user or group;
Using inappropriate language;
Sending inappropriate images;
Soliciting inappropriate images
In the event you believe that a user has sent inappropriate images of a minor or has solicited a minor, please click on www.cybertipline.com, which is affiliated with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (telephone 1-800-843-5678).
4. If you are having trouble with a user IN A GROUP ROOM, various options are available to you. RIGHT CLICK ON THE NAME OF THE PERSON THAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM AND YOU WILL SEE A MENU OF CHOICES, including:
Remove Mic
Bounce
Alert Admin of Misconduct
Ignore in Group
Alternatively, you can add the user to your PalList, RIGHT CLICK on the user's name and click on "Block User," which will prevent the user from contacting you.
5. If you are having trouble with a user that is ON YOUR "PAL LIST," RIGHT CLICK on the user's name and click on "Block User," which will prevent the user from contacting you (except if you are in a group with that User).
6. In addition to being disciplined for reasons described above, you may lose your privilege to open a group room for various reasons, including, but not limited to the following
1) Misrepresenting yourself as a Paltalk administrator or officer.
2) Continuously permitted language or content that is not appropriate to your room rating.
3) Abusing the right to bounce and/or mute other users in your room.
4) Behaving in an offensive manner.
5) Abusing of Paltalk personnel.
