Surat Al-Mulk, also known as “Surat Al-Tabarak,” is one of the surahs of the Holy Quran that has received great attention from Muslims throughout the ages. This surah is distinguished by the beauty of its style and the depth of its meanings. It contains noble verses that speak about the power and greatness of Allah Almighty, life and death, and accountability and reward. History of the surah: Surat Al-Mulk is one of the Meccan surahs, meaning that it was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, before the migration to Medina. The surah consists of 30 verses and is located in the thirtieth part of the Holy Quran. Benefits of reciting Surat Al-Mulk: Protection from the torment of the grave: It was mentioned in many hadiths that reciting Surat Al-Mulkprotects the reader from the torment of the grave. Imam Al-Tirmidhi narrated on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said: “There is a surah in the Quran with thirty verses that interceded for its reciter until he was forgiven: (Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion...).” Guidance and Right Direction: Reciting Surat Al-Mulk helps strengthen faith in Allah Almighty, enhance certainty in the Hereafter, and guide a person to the path of truth and righteousness. Teaching children: Parents should teach their children Surah Al-Mulk and encourage them to read and memorize it.
