buying a house in the united state is treeky it does have positive things like building aquity in you credit report which can help you buy stuff through loans . one positive side of buying a home you have your own back yard your own garage you own bassment or what ever you want in your home you can paint it the way you want it is yours but the negative side is the rebah the intrest is too high and it is haram like some moftyeen said because in the end of the15 or 30 years instead of paying 100,000 dallors you will end up paying 200,00 with theintrest the other negative side is if your husbend does not like to cut the grass he will have to do it when you own a home and another negative thing is if some thing is broken in the house you have to fixit from your pocket you can not call the maintenace man from the apartment to come and fix it and the labor in here very expensive . but in the other hand you will have nieghbors and if you have kids you can put a playground in your land i hope this is help full i do not live in virgenia i live in ohio but we have the same system of buying home and good luck
