Materials - Worsted weight yarn, approximately 28 ounces.
1 pr. US # 10½ needles ( for ease in working, you may want to use a 29 inch or 36 inch circular needle to accommodate stitches )
Gauge -7 sts = 2 inches , 16 rows = 3 inches
Directions -
Cast on 131 sts.
Row 1 - Work in seed st - * K 1, P 1 * repeating across, ending K 1.
Repeat this row for 5 more times, for a total of 6 rows.
Row 7- Work seed stitch over first 6 sts, knit across to last 6 sts, work seed st over last 6 sts.
Row 8- Work seed stitch over first 6 sts, purl across to last 6 sts, work seed st over last 6 sts.
Row 9- Repeat row 7.
Row 10- Repeat row 8.
Row 11 -Seed st over first 6 sts, * K 2 tog, Y O, * repeating across row, to last 7 sts, then K 1, work last 6 sts in seed st.
Row 12 - Repeat row 8.
Row 13 - Repeat row 7.
Row 14 - Repeat row 8.
Row 15- Repeat row 7.
Row 16- Repeat row 8.
Repeat rows 1 through 16 for pattern until length from beginning is about 39 inches, ending on a row 16.
Work 6 rows of seed st as in beginning, then bind off in seed st. Weave in any yarn ends.
