Position Summary: Creative seeks qualified candidates for Senior Education Specialist on an upcoming education project in the Middle East. The Senior Education Specialist will be the technical advisor and administrative supervisor for teacher professional development activities, and will be Creative’s senior in-country project representative with responsibility for supervising project staff and managing relations with local and international partners. The Senior Education Specialist will coordinate program activities among a diverse group of stakeholders and beneficiaries, including supervisors and teachers, school officials, and Ministry of Education personnel. The Senior Education Specialist will ensure timely project implementation and technical reliability, monitor project activities, and manage project staff. The Senior Education Specialist has responsibility for financial accountability and reporting to the client and the Creative home office.
Required Skills and Qualifications: • Minimum of a Master’s degree in education or related field, Ph.D. or Ed.D. strongly preferred; • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in implementing and managing education improvement programs in developing countries; • Technical experience in teacher professional development, managing teacher training programs, school and community engagement, participatory processes to support conducive learning environments, accreditation systems, and ICT; experience with math/science curricula highly desirable; • Experience in the Middle East is highly desirable; • Demonstrated exemplary diplomatic, communication, and interpersonal skills; • Organizational acumen and cultural sensitivity; • Excellent oral and written Arabic and English.
