Cupcake pattern
Repost of my amigurumi cupcake pattern.

Materials needed
Worsted weight yarn of your choice; I used Red Heart Super Saver in Cornmeal (MC), Light Blue (CC1), Cherry Red (CC2)
3.75 mm (size F) crochet hook (or size needed to obtain tight gauge)
6 mm black safety eyes
Black embroidery floss
Polyester stuffing
Abbreviations
sc — single crochet
st — stitch
sl st — slip stitch
ch — chain
sc2tog — single crochet 2 together
Base
Rnd 1 — With MC work 7 sc into magic ring
Rnd 2 — Work 2 sc in each st around (14 sts)
Rnd 3 — repeat around (21 sts)
Rnd 4 — repeat around (28 sts)
Rnd 5 — repeat around (35 sts)
Rnd 6-13 — sc in each st around (35 sts)
Cut yarn leaving a long tail for sewing, sl st, pull tail through loop.
Frosting
Rnd 1 — With CC1 work 7 sc into magic ring
Rnd 2 — Work 2 sc in each st around (14 sts)
Rnd 3 — repeat around (21 sts)
Rnd 4 — repeat around (28 sts)
Rnd 5 — sc in each st around (28 sts)
Rnd 6 — repeat around (35 sts)
Rnd 7-9 — sc in each st around (35 sts)
Rnd 10 — repeat around to last st.
Sl st, cut yarn and pull tail through loop. Weave tail into wrong side of the piece.
Cherry
Rnd 1 — With CC2 work 5 sc into magic ring
Rnd 2 — Work 2 sc in each st around (10 sts)
Rnd 3 — sc2tog around (5 sts)
Cut yarn leaving a tail for sewing, sl st, pull tail through loop. Using a needle, pull short tail (from magic ring) through to the right side for the cherry’s stem.
Assembly
Attach eyes and embroider face on base. Sew frosting to base, leaving a 1″ opening for stuffing. Stuff cupcake and finish sewing frosting to base. Sew cherry to top.e
