- Love and Time -




Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said,
"Richness, can you take me with you?"
Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!"
"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."
"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder,

Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?"
"It was Time," Knowledge answered.
"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"
Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is


الحب والوقت


ِِِفي قديم الزمان كان هناك جزيرة حيث كل المشاعرعاشت :السعادة والحزن والمعرفة وكل الآخرين ومن ضمنهم الحب ,في اليوم الذي اعلن بان الجزيرة ستغرق, وكل القوارب المشيدة غادرت,ما عدا الحب.
الحب كان هو الوحيد الذي بقى .الحب اراد الصمود حتى اللحظة المحتملة الاخيرة.
عندما غرقت الجزيرة تقريبا , الحب قرر السؤال عن المساعدة .مر الغني من امام الحب من مركب كبير ,قال الحب : هل بالامكان ان تأخذني معك ؟ اجابه الغني : " لا , انا لا استطيع , هناك الكثير من الذهب والفضه في مركبي , ليس هناك مكان لك".
قرر الحب سؤال الغرور الذي يمر ايضا في سفينة جميله : الغرور, ارجوك ساعدني ؟ اجاب الغرور : " انا لا استطيع مساعدتك انت مبتل تماما وقد تتلف مركبي " .
الحزن كان قريبا من الحب لذا سأله الحب : " الحزن دعني اذهب معك " اجابه الحزن: اوه ... الحب انا حزين جدا بحيث من الضروري ان اكون لوحدي .
مرت السعاده بالحب ايضا لكنها كانت سعيدة جدا بحيث لم تسمع الحب عندما كان يناديها .
فجأة كان هناك صوت " تعال الحب انا سأخذك " هو كان شيخا كبيرا متواضعا, حتى الحب نسى ان يسأل الشيخ اين هم سيذهبون ؟
وعندما وصلو الى اليابسه سار الشيخ في طريقه الخاص . وادرك كم كان يدين للشيخ.
سأل الحب المعرفة (شيخ اخر) : " من ساعدني ؟ "
اجابة المعرفة : " هو كان الوقت " .
الوقت ! يسأل الحب " لكن لماذا الوقت ساعدني؟ "
ابتسمت المعرفة بالحكمة العميقه وأجابة : " لأن الوقت هو الوحيد القادر على فهم – كم الحب ثمين " .

هانزيل و جريتل .. Hansel and Gretel

عاش حطاب فقير قرب الغابة، ولم يكن يملك الا القليل لكي يطعم زوجته وطفليه .
كان الطفل يدعى هانزل والطفلة تدعى جريتيل ، وكانت زوجة أبيهم تعتقد أنهما يأكلان كثيراً.

A poor woodcutter living near a forest had very little to feed his wife and two children.
The boy was Hansel and the girl was Gretel. Their stepmother thought they ate too much.


وفي صبيحة احد الأيام ، وعندما بدأ الطعام بالنفاذ ، أيقظتهما زوجة أبيهم من النوم باكراً جداً .
أخذتهما داخل الغابة وقالت لهم أن يبحثا عن حطب للموقد. كانت تدبر خطة ما.

One morning, when their food was almost gone, the stepmother shook them awake very early.
She took them very far into the forst and told them to search for firewood. She had a plan.


كذبت عليهما وقال لهما: سوف اعود لاحقاً لكي أدلكما على طريق العودة ، وتركت بعض الخبز لهما .
عمل الطفلان بجد وهما يجمعان قطع الحطب ، ثم ارتاحا قليلاً و أكلا الخبز .

"I'll come back later to lead you home" she lied. She left some bread for them. The children ****ed
hard gathering armloads of firewood.
Then they rested and ate their bread.


بعد انتظار طويل ، ناما وعندما استيقظا كان الظلام قد هبط . كانت جريتل خائفة ،
قال هانزل: لا تخافي لقد أسقطت قطعاً من الحصى على طول الطريق إلى هنا .

After waiting a long time, they fell asleep. When they woke up, it was very dark. Gretel was frightend.
Hansel said "Don't cry. I dropped a trail of pebbles on the way here."


تبع الأولاد قطع الحصى اللامعة ، وجدوا الطريق الى منزلهم ، ولم تكن زوجة الأب مسرورة بذلك. في اليوم التالي ذهبوا الى مكان ابعد في الغابة.
كان هانزل يسقط قطعاً صغيرة من الخبز على طول الطريق.

They followed the shiny pebbles and found their way home. Their stepmother wasn't pleased.
The next day they went further into the woods.
Hansel dropped breadcrumbs along the way.


ولكن عندما بحث هانزل و جريتل عن قطع الخبز ، كانت قد اختفت لقد أكلتها العصافير!! ،
بعد أن تجولا لساعات ، نام الطفلان المتعبان تحت شجرة حتى الصباح.

But when Hansel and Gretel looked for them, they were gone! The birds had eaten them up!!.
After wandering for hours, the exhausted children slept under a tree until morning.


ثم مشيا حتى وجدا منزلاً مصنوعاً من الكعك.
صاح هانزل: وهو يصفق بفرح ياااه !! كم ستكون وجبة رائعة ، هيا نأكل .

They walked until they found a house made out of cakes!!
"Oh, what a wonderful treat this will be!!" cried Hansel, clapping his hands eagerly. "Let's eat."


قالت جريتل: سوف أبدأ بالنافذة ، وبإمكانك أنت أن تتذوق السقف ، إنه مصنوع من خبز الزنجبيل .
وفجأة سمعا صوتاً خافتاً من داخل المنزل: من الذي يقضم من منزلي ؟!..

" I'll start with a w indow." said Gretel, "and you can taste the roof! It is gingerbread!!"
Suddenly a quiet voice called from inside the house, "Who's that nibbling at my house?"


توقف الطفلان عن الأكل بينما خرجت عجوز بشعة المنظر إلى الخارج .

إرتعد الصغيران من الخوف ، ولكن المرأة العجوز ابتسمت فقط.

The children stopped eating as a vary ugly old women hobbled out.
The children gasped and trembled with fear,
but the old women just smiled sweetly at them.


قالت العجوز: أيها المسكينان ، أدخلا لكي تتناولا العشاء ، تبعها الطفلان إلى داخل المنزل .
ولكنها كانت ساحرة خبيثة وكانت تستعمل منزلها المصنوع من الحلوى لكي تمسك بالأطفال.

" You poor dears," she said. "Come inside to eat some dinner." They followed her into the house.
But she was really a wicked witch who used her
house of sweets to catch children-to eat!


حبست الساحرة هانزل لوحده في غرفة صغيرة ، وبكت جريتل كثيراً لأجل أخيها .
قالت الساحرة الخبيثة لجريتل: يكفي ، يجب أن نجعل أخيك يسمن قبل أن آكله.

The witch locked up Hansel all alone in a little room.
Gretel cried and cried for her brother.
The wicked witch told Gretel, "Enough! We must fatten up your skinny brother before I eat him!"


أصبحت الساحرة تقول لهانزل كل صباح: مد لي إصبعك كي أتحسسه كان هانزل يعرف أن الساحرة لم تكن ترى جيداً،
لذلك كان يمد لها عظمة صغيرة بدلاً من إصبعه ، فكانت الساحرة تظن إنه مازال نحيلاً.

Each morning, the witch said to Hansel, "Stick out your finger for me to feel" Hansel knew she didn't see will,
so he cleverly stuck out a little bone instead.
He was too thin.


مرت الأيام و تعبت الساحرة من الإنتظار ، لذا طلبت من جريتل أن تحضر لها فرن للطهي .
قالت الساحرة: تحسسي داخل الفرن لتري إن كان ساخناً كفاية. سألت جريتل : ولكن كيف أفعل ذلك؟؟!

Days passed and the witch grew tired of waiting. She told Gretel to prepare the oven for baking.
The witch said, "Feel inside and see if it is hot enough yet." "But how?" Gretel asked.


قالت الساحرة : انظري ، ومدت رأسها إلى داخل الفرن ، فدفعتها جريتل بسرعة لداخل الفرن.
ثم ركضت بسرعة لتحرر أخاها وأخذوا كنز الساحرة و اتجهوا نحو البيت.

"Watch!" the witch said, sticking her own head into the oven. Gretel quickly shoved her inside!.
She ran to free Hansel.
They took the witch's treasure and set off for home.


وعلى الطريق قابلا والدهما وكان يبحث عنهما منذ أن ماتت زوجته اللئيمة ،
ثم أعطى الطفلان كنز الساحرة إلى أبيهما ، ولم يعودوا فقراء أو جائعين منذ ذلك الحين.

On the way, they met their father. He had been searching for them since their stepmother died.
The children gave him the witch's treasure and they were never poor-or hungry-again.
