قامت على تسجيلك في المدرسة
أنت شكرتها بالصراخ لا أريد الذهاب
When you were six years old
She registered you in school
You thanked her by yelling
that you don’t want to go to school
عندما كان عمرك عشر سنوات
كانت تنتظر رجوعك من المدرسة لتعانقك
أنت شكرتها بدخولك الى غرفتك سريعا
When you were ten years old
she waited for you to come back to
school so that she could hug you
You thanked her by running
to your room
عندما كان عمرك خمسة عشر سنة
كانت تبكي خلال نجاحك
أنت شكرتها بطلبك لسيارة جديدة
When you were fifteen years old
She cried when you passed
in your studies
You thanked her by asking
for a new car
عندما كان عمرك عشرون سنة
كانت تتمنى الذهاب معها الى الأقارب
أنت شكرتها بالجلوس مع أصدقائك
When you were twenty years old
She wished to visit her close relatives
You thanked her by staying
at home with your friends
عندما كان عمرك خمس وعشرون سنة
ساعدتك في زواجك
أنت شكرتها بالسكن
أبعد مايمكن عنها أنت وزوجتك
When you were twenty five years old
She helped you to get married
You thanked her by living
far away from her
عندما كان عمرك ثلاثون سنة
قالت لك بعض النصائح حول الأطفال
أنت شكرتها بقولك لاتتدخلين في شؤوننا
When you were thirty years old
She gave you some advice on children
You thanked her by asking her
not to interfere with your business
عندما كان عمرك خمس وثلاثون سنة
أتصلت تدعوك للوليمة عندها
أنت شكرتها بقولك أنا مشغول هذه الأيام
When you were thirty five years old
She invited you to a meal with her
You thanked her by telling
her that you are busy these days
عندما كان عمرك أربعون سنة
أخبرتك أنها مريضه وتحتاج لرعايتك
أنت شكرتها بقولك
عبء الوالدين ينتقل الى الأبناء
When you were forty years old
She told you that she is sick
and needs your care
You thanked her by complaining
her that parents problem
are handled by their children
وفي يوم من الأيام سترحل عن هذه الدنيا
وحبها لك لم يفارق قلبها
اذا كانت والدتك لا تزال بقربك لاتتركها
ولاتنسى حبها وأعمل على ارضائها
لأنه
لايوجد لديك الاّ أم واحدة في هذه الحياة
One day
she will leave this world
and her love for you
will never leave her heart
If your mother is still with you
don’t leave her
never forget her love for you
and work hard to please her
because
you only have one mother in this life
