Al Hanan Institute For Children With Special Needs

Prophet Mohamad ( PBUH ) says : “No one is a believer until he loves for his Muslim brother what he loves for himself ” .
Al Hanan Association was established in 2003 by a group of doctors,experts ,and families of disabled children .
The aim of Al Hanan association is to help , educate, and train disabled children especially those with severe mental retardation so that they would become independent and productive citizens.
Al Hanan Association:
- Definition: It is a private charitable institution that was established in 2003 .
- Aims :
- Attaining social development in the Lebanese countryside especially in Jabal Amel and palestinian camps .
- Offering educational and vocational programs for people with special education.
- Offering certain services for families from the Palestinian camps .
- Offering training programs for volunteers.
- Organizing training sessions for families through certain visits that provide them with certain programs for their children .
Rehabilitation Programs for the Mentally Retarded Persons:
Rehabilitaion of children with wild and medium retardation according to special programs designed to help them integrate into society .Such programs include:
-Basic academic skills .
-Skills of self-sufficiency .
-Social skills .
-Recreational and kinetic skills (Physio therapy).
-Skills of vocational preparation .
-Integrating the students into the vocational training and rehabilitaion programs after they complete the special education program..
-Organizing classes on developing speech ability of the individual with language and communication problems.(Speech Therapy)
Vocational Rehabilitation Program:
Implementation of vocational rehabilitation programs aimed at achieving economic independeny by the disabled persons through work and to have a continuous job .
