Here's a picture of the yarn. I used simple double crochet stitches because of the bumpy texture of the yarn. The yarn is thin like sport yarn, but with bumps. It's No Boundaries yarn from Walmart called "Cindy".
My daughter wears a size 4. This fits her.
Princess Dress
H hook
3 skeins (100 grams each skein) No Boundaries (Walmart) “Cindy” yarn (this yarn is thin like sport yarn and has bumps on it)
Top (Make 2):
Row 1: Ch 40, dc in 3rd ch from the hook and dc across. Ch 3, turn.
Rows 2- 20: Dc across in each st. Ch 3 and turn.
Row 21: Dc in the next 5 sts. (Count the ch 3 as 1 st, so you’ll have a total of 6 sts for the strap). Now sl st across until you have 6sts left. In those 6 sts, dc to the end. So you’ll have 6 dc on each side of the top for the strap.
Row 22: (One side of the top) Now ch 3, dc in the next 5 sts, turn, ch 3 and dc in the next 5 sts. Fasten off, leave a tail to sew top seam together. Now, sl st on other side attach yarn. Ch 3, dc in the next 5 sts across, turn, ch 3, dc in next 5 sts. Fasten off, leave a tail to sew top seam together.
Placing wrong sides together, sew top seams together. Then sl st sides together. Weave in all ends.
You are working in rounds.
Skirt Row 1: Attach yarn with a sl st to bottom of top. Dc in between each st around. (I mean that you don’t dc into the first chain, you actually dc in between those stitches all the way around. It lays better this way.) Sl st tog and ch 3.
Skirt Row 2: Do 2dc in every stitch around, sl st tog, ch 3.
Skirt Rows 3 – 7: Dc in each stitch around, sl st tog, ch 3.
Skirt Row 8: Dc in same space as ch 3, ch 2, 2 dc. *Skip 1 space, then 2dc, ch 2, 2dc in next st. Repeat from * all the way around. Sl st tog to top of first shell,
Skirt Rows 9: Sl st 1 space to the ch 2 space, then 2dc, ch2, 2dc in that space. *2dc, ch 2, 2dc in next ch 2 space. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog to top of first shell.
Skirt Rows 10- 16: Repeat row 9.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Double Crochet Shrug
H hook
½ skein of No Boundaries “Cindy” yarn
Row 1: Ch 80, dc in 3rd ch from the hook, dc across. Ch 3, turn.
Row 2- 17: Dc across and ch 3 and turn.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
Fold over into a long rectangle. Sew up approx. 4” on either side. If you have your daughter handy, it’s best to measure to her.

Mountain Sunrise Skort
5 oz pink 4 ply acrylic yarn approx.
7 oz brown 4 ply acrylic yarn approx.
H hook
sizing: my daughter is currently wearing a 4/5. This skirt is wide enough to fit a 6, I believe. The elastic is what makes it fit the waist.
Shorts underneath:
Ch 80, sl st tog to form a ring. Be careful not to twist chain.
Round 1: BLO: Ch 2, hdc in same st. Hdc in each st around. Sl st tog into the first hdc, not the ch 2. This pulls the stitches tog to not leave a hole when you sl st.
Round 2: BLO: Ch 2, hdc in same st. Hdc in each st around. Sl st tog the same way as above now and throughout.
Round 3: Both Loops now and throughout: Ch 2, hdc in same st. Hdc in each st around. Sl st tog.
Rounds 4- 15: Repeat Round 3.
Round 16: Leg hole: Ch 2, in same st hdc. (count that as 1 st) Hdc in the next 39 sts, then join to the 1st hdc. This makes the first leg hole.
Round 17: Leg hole: Ch 2, hdc in next st and in every st around. Sl st tog.
Round 18: Leg hole: Ch 1, sc in next st and in every st around. Sl st tog. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Attach yarn to crotch, ch 2, (count that as 1 st) Hdc in the next 39 sts, then join to the 1st hdc. This makes the second leg hole. Repeat Rounds 15 and 16 just like the other leg hole. Fasten off and weave in ends. Now sew up crotch seam.
Skirt:
Round 1: Now go back to Row 2 and the front loops that are still open. Attach the pink yarn to the back of the shorts. Ch 3, dc in each st around, sl st tog.
Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, ch 2, 2 dc all in the same st (shell). *Skip 2 sts, 2dc-ch2-2dc in next st. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.
Round 3: Sl st over to ch 2 sp from previous row, ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2dc all in that sp. *Skip to next ch 2 sp and 2dc, ch 2, 2dc in that sp. Repeat from * around.
Rounds 4- 16: Repeat Round 3.
I used pink on Rounds 1-4, brown on 5-6, pink on 7-9, brown 10-11, pink on 12-14, brown on 15-16, pink edging.
Round 17: edging: Ch 1, sc in the stitches and in the ch 2 space, I ch 3 and sc back into the ch 2 sp. Fasten off and weave in ends.
I use elastic on all my daughter’s clothes. So I take the ¼" elastic, measure it to my daughter and cut it. Then I sew the one end into a circle. Then I sc the elastic to the first row of hdc of the shorts. (sc around the elastic not through it) Fasten off and weave in ends.
