{ decoupage diy }
I made this year's Easter eggs with the decoupage technique. To transfer the pretty designs from napkins to eggs is easy. All you need is decoupage glue and a little soft brush.
Cut the desired pictures out of the napkin. Take a small amount of decoupage glue on the tip of the brush and apply. Make sure to thoroughly cover the whole cut out. Always brush from the middle towards the edges. Push out any air bubbles carefully leaving a smooth surface.
The technique works great for eggs but also for glass surfaces such as old jam jars. I made cute chick jars to be filled with candy for kids. You can get the eggs ready for decorating by blowing the raw egg out from a little whole. I used hard boiled eggs and refrigerate them over night.
Let the picture dry for an hour. After the glue has dried, the jars can be lightly hand washed. The eggs will stay good over the Easter holiday.
