الواقعية في فلسلفة ارسطوا في الجمال
لقد كان ارسطوا أقرب إلى الاتجاه الحديث حيث ذهب إلى أن الفن ليس في التعبير عن الجمال المثالي, ولكنه تعبير جميل عن أي موضوع حتى لو لم يكن من الموضوعات الجميلة لأن الإنسان يستمد من المحاكاة لذة لذاتها. وقد استخدم ارسطوا لذة المحاكاة ليحدد بها الفنون الجميلة, ويميز بينها وبين سائر الفنون الصناعية الأخرى ولذلك فقد تحدث عن فنون المحاكاة التي غايتها تحقيق اللذة الفنية وانتاج الأعمال الجميلة في مقابل الفنون الصناعية التي تحقق المنتجات المفيدة.واستطاع أن يميز بين الفنون الجميلة على أساس الوسائل التي تستخدم في المحاكاة. فذكر أن لمحاكاته وسائل مختلفة:فمن وسائل المحاكاة الألوان والوصول, فهذه المحاكاة هي التي تستخدم في الفنون التشكيلية من تصوير ورسم ونحت ولكن قد نستخدم المحاكاة في الأصوات كما في الموسيقى أو اللغة كما في الشعر

Aresto was the closest one to the real definition of recent Arts as he said that Art is to be able to express the beautiful things in any subject even if it is not beautiful at all not to express the perfect beauty!!
That's because the simulation of some thing is a pleasure it self and Aresto used this pleasure to identify the beautiful arts and differentiate between it and the other artificial arts which give us the useful things , from the main methods of the real simulation the colors which is used in plastic arts and the voices and sound that are used in music and poetry.
