In terms of bionics, human skin tissue and plant "skin" tissue have the same rule of growth and development. Therefore, we extract from plants the constituents similar to those in human skin to formulate a product to meet the need of physiological regulations for human skin.

Principles of MEBO Scar Lotion
Using normal skin as examples, it was found that scarred skin formed after the healing of body surface wounds and ulcers, both of which have four characteristics: itching, hyperplasia, cracking and dysfunctional. Previously because of scarce and insufficient research work that had been done to reveal the mechanisms of scar formation, few ideal products for scarred skin have been developed. Recent studies show that the wound surface, during the healing period, is short of necessary physiological regulation, the healed skin lacks sebaceous protection (cell tissue fluid) while the capillaries are in a state of hypexia (lack of oxygen) and ischemia (lack of blood supply). All of these factors lead to scar formation. According to these principles, we have successfully developed an ideal product for nourishing scarred skin. For example, in the previous research work, antipruritic (anti-itching agent) which was frequently adopted by doctors to deal with normal skin itching, was used to solve the problem of scar itching. This method however has been proved ineffective. Our research has revealed that itching of scarred skin is caused by hypoxia of the microvascular walls and nerve endings in the skin tissue, rather than by nerve endings in the skin surface being irritated. Based on this theory, MEBO Scar Lotion has been designed and developed, which has been proved to help restore the scarred skin effectively.
