Crochet gauge: 20 sts x 11 rows = 10 x 10 cm
.

Pattern: See chart. Crochet the entire chart for all sizes.

Crocheting tip: When you are binding off dc on a row, make 1 ch-st bow diagonally up to the next row to compensate for the dc which are bound off. To bind off 4 dc ch 6, to bind off 3 dc ch 5, to bind off 2 ch 4.

Body: Chain 171-184-197-211.
Row 1: 1 double crochet (dc) in the 3rd ch from the hook, 2 dc in the next 2 sts, * skip 1 ch, 3 dc in the next 3 sts *, repeat from * - *= 129-139-149-159 dc.
Rows 2 through 9-10-11-12: 1 dc in each dc from the previous row -- at the same time inc 1 dc on each side every row 8-9-10-11 times = 145-157-169-181 dc. Now the work measures approx. 7-8-9-10 cm .
***Now bind off on both sides every row - see Crocheting tip - at the same time, the chart begins - see to it that the chart comes at the center of the work - over the center 55 dc.
Bind off on both sides as follows: 4 dc 2-3-6-8 times, 3 dc 3-7-7-7 times, 2 dc 14-9-6-5 times; from here, crochet the rest of the work according to the chart.
After the chart the work measures approx. 30-31-32-34 cm.

Assembly: Crochet 1 buttonhole-loop with crochet hook size 3 and beige-mixed uppermost at each side at the back as follows: 1 double crochet, 2 slip sts, skip over _ cm, 1 double crochet. Try on the top to see where the buttons should be sewn on - 1 button on the bottom side of the left back piece and 1 button on the top side of the right back piece. Crochet 3 bands of slip sts approx. 1 meter in length. Braid these together, tie a knot in each end and draw the cord through the uppermost row of holes.

= 1 dc
= 2 dc in the previous trebl/double treble.
= 2 slip sts
= 3 sts

Crochet gauge: 18 dc x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm . 1 repeat of Diag. 1 (1 blossom) measures 6.5 cm in width.

Pattern: See diagram for the blossom pattern.
«1 rapport» = «1 repeat»; «13 luftm» = «ch 13"; «rad» = «row».

= 1 ch
= 1 sc
= 1 sl st
= 1 dc
= 1 treble
= 1 quadruple
= ch for turning piece

Bodice (make 2): Ch 9-11-13. Crochet dc up along one side of chain (first st replaces 2 ch sts) = 7-9-11 dc. In the last ch work 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc, the continue with dc down the other side of chain. Turn the work, crochet back and forth on each side of center chain - 1 dc in each dc from the previous row and in the ch from previous row at the top, work 2 dc, ch 1 and 2 dc every row. Crochet 6-7-8 rows back and forth. Crochet the next 2 rows as follows: ch 2 + 2 dc in the first dc from previous row, * ch 1, skip over 2 dc, 3 dc in the next dc *, repeat from * - * up to the top, in ch from previous row at the top work 3 dc, ch 1, 2 dc. Repeat from * - * down other side.

Top: Place the 2 bodice halves together. Ch 37-39-41 loosely, then sl 35-39-43 along lower edge of one bodice half, ch 1 between halves and sl 35-39-43 along lower edge of the other bodice half, finish with ch 37-39-41. Work 1 row sc in each ch and sl st = 145-157-169 sc.
Crochet the next 5-6-7 rows as follows: 3 dc in first sc, * ch 1, skip over 3 sc, 3 dc in the next sc *, repeat from * - * across row (= 36-39-42 times). Then follow Diagr. 1 - start on the 2nd row = 145-157-169 sc. There will be 11-12-13 blossoms on lower edge – each blossom is made on 13 sc of the previous row, therefore on the next row you will need to dec 2-1-0 sts by skipping over 1 sc.
Note: on sizes S and L there will be 1 blossom at center front; on size M the space between 2 blossoms will be at center front.

Assembly: Sew the 2 bodice halves together at center front for approx. 5 cm .
Make 3 ch-st cords approx. 100 cm long with 2 strands Den-M-nit. 2 of the cords are used as straps. Sew 1 cord to each side of back, then thread cord through top of bodice halves on front. Tie cords at back of neck. The 3rd cord is used to tie the back together. Start at top and thread cords alternately thought right and left sides of back, cross-crossing cords. See photo of back of Model No. 1 for reference.

SIZE: Shown in Small

MATERIALS:

1 skein of Bernat ‘Baby Coordinates’
(6 oz Sport Weight)

Crochet Hook #G-6

GAUGE:
16 HDC = 4”/10cm

NOTES:
The camisole may come out slightly smaller than your actual measurements. It is designed to be that way because the yarn gives it a nice stretch and a better fit. If you are using a heavier yarn or feel your yarn may not stretch as well, you may want to make a size larger.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Triangle (make 2): CH 8

Row 1: HDC in next 4 chains; 2 HDC in next chain; HDC in next 2 chains; in next chain (you are now going to work in the other side of the chain); HDC in next 2 chains; 2 HDC in next chain; HDC in remaining 4 chains; 2 Ch, turn.

Row 2: HDC in next 5 stitches; 2 HDC in next stitch; HDC in next 3 stitches; 2 in next stitch; HDC in next 3 stitches; 2 HDC in next stitch; HDC in remaining 5 stitches; 2 Ch, turn.

Row 3: HDC in next 6 stitches; 2 HDC in next stitch; HDC in next 4 stitches; 2 in next stitch; HDC in next 4 stitches; 2 HDC in next stitch; HDC in remaining 6 stitches; 2 Ch, turn.

Basically each row increases each of the 4 sides by 1 stitch. Keep increasing on each row until the bottom measures ¼ of your chest size. For me, it was 7.5 inches wide, 14 rows. It should turn out somewhat like a rectangle with a triangular top.

Now you’re going to HDC until you reach the first corner of the shape (for me that was about 14 HDC). From here you just make rows of HDC until the entire piece measures ¾ of your chest size (the remaining ¼ being the first piece). I alternated a few rows of HDC with a few rows of shell stitch.

Shell Stitch:

Row 1: 1 SC in 2nd chain from hook; skip 2 stitches, 5 DC in next chain; skip 2 stitches; 1 SC in next chain; continue to end of row.

Row 2: in 1st stitch; skip 2 stitches, 1 SC in the 3rd (middle) stitch of the shell; skip 2 stitches; 5 DC in next stitch; continue to end of row; end last shell as 3 DC in last stitch; turn.

Row 3: CH 1; 1 SC in 1st stitch, skip 2 stitches; 5 DC in next stitch; skip 2 stitches; 1 SC in next stitch; continue to end of row; end last shell as 1 SC in top of turning chain (previous CH 3).

When you’re done with the back part, join the first front piece to the second by slip stitching them together, which is easy because there should be an equal amount of stitches on each piece.

Attach the yarn anywhere on the bottom of the piece and sc around the whole piece. Make 3 CH.

Column Shell Stitch:

Round 1: Skip 2 stitches; in next stitch; 2 CH; continue to end of row; SL ST in top of turning chain (previous 3 CH); 3 CH.

Repeat the column shell stitch for as many rows as you need to make the top as long as you’d like it to be (mine took about 18 rows). I increased every other row until my top was hip length. If you are using a yarn that isn’t as lightweight or flexible as mine, I suggest you don’t increase as often, maybe every 3, 4 or even 5 rows instead, especially if your hips aren’t much bigger than your waist. SC a row when you’ve reached your desired length to give the bottom hem some shape and stability.

For the straps, I made a chain of about 20-25 stitches; SC the middle half of the back; made another 20-25 CH; then did a shell stitch edging on the front middle. You can make your straps any way you would like to, and actually, I don’t recommend the method I used and I plan to change it.

Size:
The instructions are for size Small, but with some imagination and a basic knowledge of mathematics (ie. a longer base chain, etc.), the pattern can be enlarged.

Materials:
3 Balls #10 Cotton Crochet Thread
1/2 meter Cotton Fabric
6 Buttons

Hook:
US size 5 steel crochet hook

Abbreviations:
Ch = Chain
Sc = Single Crochet
Dc = Double Crochet
Sk = Skip
Sp = Space
St = Stitch
Sl St = Slip Stitch

Instructions:
Ch 157. (Base chain is crocheted in multiples of 6, + 1.)
Row 1: Ch 1, sc in 2nd ch from hook. *Ch 4, sk 2 ch, sc in 3rd ch. Ch 3, 2 dc in same ch as sc. Sk 2 ch, sc in 3rd ch. Repeat from * across. End with a sc in the last ch. Turn.
Row 2: *Ch 4, sc in 3rd (top) ch of previous row's ch-3, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp. Sc in ch-4 loop. Repeat from * across. End with a sc in ch-4 loop, ch 1, dc in previous row's beginning sc. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in top of dc. *Ch 4, sc in 3rd (top) ch of previous row's ch-3, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp. Sc in ch-4 loop. Repeat from * across. End with sc in 2nd ch of previous row's beginning ch-4 loop. Turn.
Rows 4-42: Repeat rows 2 & 3, in that order.
Row 43: Ch 4, sc in previous row's last ch-4 loop. (Ch 2, sc in 3rd ch of previous row's ch-3, ch 2, sc in next ch-4 loop) 9 times. (Ch 4, sc in 3rd ch of previous row's ch-3, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, sc in ch-4 loop) twice. Turn. (When chaining 2 and single crocheting, keep the chains loose, as in the same tension as the base chain, so that eventually the length of the top of the shirt will be identical to the length of the bottom of the shirt.)
Row 44: (Ch 4, sc in 3rd ch of previous row's ch-3, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, sc in ch-4 loop) twice. Ch 1, dc in previous row's sc. Turn.
Row 45: Ch 1, sc in same sp. (Ch 4, sc in 3rd ch of previous row's ch-3, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, sc in ch-4 loop) twice. Turn.
Rows 46- 84: Repeat rows 44 & 45, in that order.
Row 85: Ch 4. (Sc in 3rd ch of ch-3, ch 2, sc in ch-4 loop, ch 2) twice. Ch 1, dc in previous row's beginning sc. Tie off.
Row 86: Re-attach thread with a sl st into the sc at the base of the strap, on the opposite side of the already worked portion. (Ch 2, sc in 3rd ch of ch-3, ch 2, sc in ch-4 sp) 4 times. (Ch 4, sc in 3rd ch of previous row's ch-3, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, sc in ch-4 loop) twice. Turn. (Once again, when chaining 2, keep a loose, even tension.)
Row 87: (Ch 4, sc in 3rd ch of previous row's ch-3, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, sc in ch-4 loop) twice. Ch 1, dc in previous row's sc. Turn.
Row 88: Ch 1, sc in same sp. (Ch 4, sc in 3rd ch of previous row's ch-3, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, sc in ch-4 loop) twice. Turn.
Rows 89 - 127: Repeat rows 87 & 88, in that order.
Row 128: Ch 4. (Sc in 3rd ch of ch-3, ch 2, sc in ch-4 loop, ch 2) twice. Ch 1, dc in previous row's beginning sc. Tie off.
Row 129: Re-attach thread with a sl st at the outside base of 2nd strap. *Ch 2, sc in 3rd (top) ch of ch-3, ch 2, sc in ch-4 loop. Repeat from * across the top, to the corner. Tie off.
Row 129: Sew the ends of the two straps onto the top of the shirt, approximately above the 3rd and 4th columns of dc's from each end of the shirt.

Edging:
Row 1: Lay the shirt out in front of you, with the right side facing. Grab the top, left corner. Here, at the corner, is where you will attach your thread, with a sc, so that you are positioned to work the row down the back/end of the shirt. Work 4 sc in each space until you reach the bottom corner. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 1. Sc in each sc across. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in 1st sc. (Ch 3, sk 3 sc, sc in 4th sc. Sc in next 10 sc) 6 times. Sc in remaining sc. Tie off.
Row 4: Once again, lay the shirt out in front of you, with the right side facing. Grab the bottom, right corner. Here, at the corner, is where you will attach your thread, with a sc, so that you are positioned to work the row up the back/end of the shirt. Work 4 sc in each space until you reach the top corner. Turn.
Row 5: Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Turn.
Row 6: Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Tie off.
Row 7: This row is where you will sc around the perimeter of the entire shirt. Where there are already sc, simply sc in each sc, and work 3 sc in each ch-3 button-hole loop. Everywhere else, work in as many or as few sc as necessary in order to keep the edges of the shirt and straps from stretching, but also so that they lay flat and unbunched. Finish row with a sl st into the beginning sc.
Row 8: Ch 1, sc in same space. Sc in every sc around. Tie off.
Repeat rows 7 & 8 in each arm-hole.

Finishing:
With right side facing, sew the buttons onto the sc strip opposite the button-holes, each button directly across from its button hole. Then sew the fabric onto the back of the shirt, and your project is complete!

Size:
The instructions are for size Small to Medium, but with some imagination and a basic knowledge of mathematics (ie. a longer base chain, etc.), the pattern can be enlarged.

Finishing:
The picture shows the shirt worn with a same-color bra. Fabric sewn on as backing is optional.

Materials:
3 Balls #10 Cotton Crochet Thread
1 Meter of Cord

Hook:
US size 5 steel crochet hook

Abbreviations:
Ch = Chain
Sc = Single Crochet
Dc = Double Crochet
Tr = Treble
Sk = Skip
Sp = Space
St = Stitch
Dc Cl = Double Crochet Cluster (Yo, insert hook in stitch, yo, pull up loop, yo, pull through two loops on hook. Yo, insert hook in same stitch, yo, pull up loop, yo, pull through two loops on hook. Yo, pull through the remaining loops on hook.)

Body:
Ch 225 + 1.
Row 1: Ch 3, dc in 4th ch from hook. Ch 2, dc cl in same sp. *Sk 4 ch (dc cl, ch 2, dc cl, ch 2, dc cl) in 5th ch. Repeat from * across, ending with dc cl, ch 2, dc cl in last ch. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in top of dc cl. *Ch 4, tr in side sc, sk 2 dc cl, sc in top of 3rd dc cl. Repeat from * across, ending with sc in top of last dc cl. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, dc in same st. Ch 2, dc cl in same st. *(Dc cl, ch 2, dc cl, ch 2, dc cl) in next sc. Repeat from * across, ending with dc cl, ch 2, dc cl in last sc. Turn.
Row 4-39: Repeat rows 2 & 3, in that order.
Row 40: Ch 1, sc in same sp. (Ch 4, sk 2 dc cl, sc in top of 3rd dc cl) 18 times. Ch 4, tr in side of last sc. (Sk 2 dc cl, sc in 3rd dc cl. Ch 4, tr in side of last of sc) 11 times. End with sc in 3rd dc cl. Turn.
Row 41: Ch 3, dc in sc. Ch 2, dc cl in same sp. *(Dc cl, ch 2, dc cl, ch 2, dc cl) in next sc. Repeat from * 9 more times. (Dc cl, ch 2, dc cl) in next sc. Dc cl in next sc. Turn.
Row 42: Ch 1, sc in same sp. *Ch 4, tr in side of last sc, sc in top of 3rd dc cl. Repeat from * 11 times. Turn.
Row 43: Ch 3, dc in same sp. Ch 2, dc cl in same sp. *(Dc cl, ch 2, dc cl, ch 2, dc cl) in next sc. Repeat from * 8 more times. (Dc cl, ch 2, dc cl) in next sc. Dc cl in next sc. Turn. (Note that one edge is remaining straight while the other is decreasing. Don't worry; it's suppose to turn out that way!)
Rows 44-58: Repeat rows 42 & 43, in that order, each time subtracting one from the number of repeats.
Row 59: Ch 1, sc in same sp. *Ch 4, tr in side of last sc, sc in top of 3rd dc cl. Repeat from * 2 more times. Turn.
Row 60: Ch 3, dc in same sp, ch 2, dc cl in same sp. *(Dc cl, ch 2, dc cl, ch 2, dc cl) in next sc. Repeat from * once more. End with dc cl, ch 2, dc cl in last sc. Turn.
Rows 61-79: Repeat rows 59 & 60, in that order.
Row 80: Ch 1, sc in same sp. (Ch 4, sc in 3rd dc cl) 3 times. Tie off.
Row 81: With right side facing, re-attach thread with sc in the top right, unfinished corner of the shirt. (Ch 4, sc in 3rd dc cl) across, to where the strap begins. Tie off.
Row 82: With right side facing, sew the end of the strap to the top of the shirt, approximately from the middle of the 4th group of dc cl's from the right, to the middle of the 7th group of dc cl's from the right. (7 groups of 3 dc cl's should measure the under-arm space between the two ends of the strap.)

Edging:
The edging consists of two rows of sc, one on top of the other, around the perimeter of the entire shirt, including the inside of the arm-hole, which must be done seperately. Work in as many or few sc as necessary in order to keep the edges of the shirt and strap from stretching, but also so that they lay flat and unbunched.
In the upper back of both sides of the shirt, during the second row of sc, work an approximate pattern of (Ch 2, sk 2 sc, sc in each of next 6 sc) 5 times, so that you will have 5 ch-2 loops available in order to lace the shirt together across the upper back.

Mini-Strap: (optional)
Row 1: Attach thread with sl st in sc above group of 3 dc cl's just before the beginning of the decreasing sid of the previous strap. Ch 3, (dc in next sc) 3 times. Turn. (Ch-3 and three dc are equal to 4 dc.)
Row 2: Ch 3, (dc in next dc) 3 times. Turn.
Rows 3-30: Repeat row 2.
Row 4: Tie off. Sew end onto top row of sc above 6th group of 3 dc cl's from the shirt's left side.

Crochet gauge: 24 dc x 12 rows in pattern with smaller hook = 10 x 10 cm .

Pattern: See charts. Diagram Pattern 1 and Pattern 2 = 1 repeat. The charts for Patterns 3 and 4 have arrows indicating different sizes.

= 1 ch
= 1 dc
= 1 tr
= fasten fringe tuft here

Crochet tips: For turning piece crochet as follows: 2 ch replacing 1 dc and 1 ch replacing 1 sc.

Top: Ch 169-193-217 with smaller hook. Turn and crochet Pattern 1 - see Crochet tips = 168-192-216 sts. After Pattern 1 continue with dc over all sts, but:
Sizes S and M: inc 4 sts evenly distributed on 1st row after Pattern 1.
Size L: dec 2 sts evenly distributed on 1st row after Pattern 1
= 172-196-214 sts. When you have crocheted a total of 22-24-25 rows (incl. Pattern 1) the piece measures approx. 18-20-21 cm .
Now continue as follows: Crochet Pattern 2 - start at lower edge at left side of chart and crochet toward the right side - over 36-42-48 sts, Pattern 3 start at lower edge at left side of chart and crochet toward the right sides - over the next 24-30-33 sts, Pattern 4 (52-52-52 sts), Pattern 3 - start at lower edge at right side of chart at appropriate arrow and crochet toward the left side - over 24-30-33 sts and Pattern 2 start at lower edge at right side of chart and crochet toward the left side - over the last 36-42-48 sts. Continue in pattern as established. After 5 rows Pattern 2 is complete - continue with Pattern 3 and Pattern 4 until chart is completed.

Assembly:
Strap: start approx. 9 cm in from top edge on right side of piece (= on the back). Make a chain approx. 90 cm long with double strands of yarn and larger hook. Thread in strap at the top of the point in front. Repeat on the other side. The length of the strap is adjusted when tied at the back of the neck.

Loops: Crochet loops along each side of piece (center back). Start at the top and crochet as follows: * 1 sc, ch 3, skip 1 cm *, repeat from * - * ending at the bottom. Chain-st a cord approx. 150 cm long. Thread cord through loops - start at the top and criss-cross down the back, tie at bottom.

Fringe tufts: 1 fringe tuft = 4 strands of yarn 8 cm long. Fold strands double and pull folded yarn through the first row of lower edge, then loose ends of yarn through the loop formed - see placement on the chart for Pattern 1. Fasten 28-32-36 fringe tufts.
