You are right ... one of the most problems people face in learning English is understanding grammatical structure . But I think that our education system is focusing too much on grammar rather than reading or speaking. Unfortunately, even grammar is not well explained .

We really need for practicing to improve our language. In saudi Arabia, it's hard to practice the language easily unless you're working with foreigners. The other reason you mentioned which is (feeling shy) is actually one of my learning struggles too. I feel shy and scared to say anything wrong while I'm speaking.

Being in Australia is a very good opportunity for you. Try to get all the advantages from it. I advice myself and you to face this shyness and be more self confidence

I wrote a long reply a bout the reasons but unfortunatly l couldn't find it today

For me I think there is a big problem in our educational system not only in theaching English but also the

whole system in general we need new methods and techniques in both teaching and learning

They should take a look in other's countries system to develop ours.
