Aiming for balance

Today was a lazy day for me and I didn't feel like cooking so we made pizza. Of course I didn't make dough and instead used this sort of square bread I found at Hyperpanda. I placed the bread on a flat sheet, covered it with some premade tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, olives, cut-up hot dogs, pineapple chunks and fresh mushrooms. Seven minutes in a hot oven and we had pizza.
What did you have for dinner?

It's Thursday and the weekend is coming up. The weather is getting better here and the kids are finally able to go for a swim during the early morning hours without getting sunburned. I just pack their towels and a change of clothes and off they go with my husband while I get a few hours at home by myself. I love my children but it's always nice to get a little break, don't you think so? After all, when comparing moms to dads, moms do most of the work when it comes to children.

I just pack their towels and a change of clothes and off they go with my husband while I get a few hours at home by myself. Happy Friday to all. My wishful thinking didn't come true and the kids did not go swimming today :-O I can't complain though, they've been quiet and well-behaved so far, all thanks to Allah. The younger ones got up pretty early this morning and raced to finish their homework so they can get some time on my phone. My eldest, on the other hand, is still dragging his feet through his work. I've been having him do a lot of handwriting worksheets lately and so far he's terrible :-( Inshalla he'll get better soon!
