Welcome on board! I'm still around but I haven't been writing as much. I'm glad you've enjoyed my posts. My kids are doing well alhamdulillah. Exams are coming up for my eldest so that's been occupying some of my time and my youngest has some sort of viral infection. Nothing too serious though alhamdulillah. I'll be looking forward to more of your posts and I'll correct some minor errors of yours in a separate post.

So I've previously mentioned that we're new to Dammam and the area as a whole. The last few days my kids have noticed that all the other kids and people around them have switched to winter clothing. Of course my kids are giggling while talking about it as they reminisce their schools abroad. Back then, they had two recesses and unless the temperatures dipped below minus 25, all the kids, including kindergartners, went out to play. Needless to say, the air conditioners in our home have not been turned off yet, day or night. Handling summer temperatures on the other hand is a very different story. I'll share some laughs with you in a separate post inshalla.

Since I learned to make my own play dough at home, I've found it much better than buying the ready-made stuff. It's extremely cheap to make and I can make several colors in less than half an hour. The recipe is not perfect since the salt ratio is still high. However, the kids love it and it keeps them busy for quite some time. The last time I made a large amount, I halved it and gave some to the kids to share at school. Of course, the colors are great as long as no mixing is done. But kids are kids and once they start to mix colors, you get this ugly brownish play dough. A few weeks back, my five-year-old decides to make a snowman and this is what she came up with

There's been a nasty virus going aroundlately in the Eastern Province. All my kids, except for the eldest, have contracted it. My first grader missed out on an entire week of school. I had my husband visit school today to pick up any work we need to catch up on and the teacher he met said that more than half the class was absent. I hope your kids are all doing well inshalla and have yourself a good and healthy weekend.
