will it depends .. first i have to ask myself.. Does my son know Islam well???? couse if he knows he wouldn't do what he did except if Allah wills it..it simply means that i failed to educate him or teach him and to raise him up in a way that pleases Allah .. if i was confronted with such a horrible case i'll try to reason with him.. he simply became a polytheists.. so i'll explain to him what is monotheism.. i 'll tell him about the miracle of Islam and quran.. and show him that the scriptures of Christianity and Judaism are corrupted and played with..
if he didn't comply i'll just be patient with him.. and try to convince him wisely with wisdom and beautiful preaching .. i'll ask him of the reason behind that decision?!?! then the answer depends on his answer..

and it helps me to remember the story of my local masjed's imam when he got married to a muslim convert who decided to abandon islam after she got pregnant ..and got devorced from him .. thus the imam son was taking from him.. raise up in a Christian family.. hating islam!!!!!!!!!!:44:
