Pattern:
Row 1: Ch 5, sl st in 1st ch to make a circle. Ch 3, trc 14 times into the circle. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, (dc, ch 1) into each trc. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 4, sl st into each dc until last 3 dc. Ch 5, sl st into last ch 1 sp. Turn
Row 4: Ch 3, trc 14 times into ch 5 sp. Turn.
Repeat rows 2-4 until desired length.
You can either make the belt long enough to tie or find a button that fits through the hole of the shell base and sew it to the first shell.
So there you have it... A skirt and a belt in a weekend. Quite a nice diversion if I do say so myself.

Rnd 1: 16 dc in ring, join with sl st./
Rnd 2: ch 1, sc in same st, ch 3, skip 1 dc, sc in next dc, repeat around (8
ch 3 loops), join with sl s in first sc.
Rnd 3: ch 1, sc in same st, ch 1, 3dc in loop, ch 1, sc in sc, repeat around
ending with slip st in first sc.
In last Flower, attach thread to second dc of first petal in the front, ch 10, turn 12 sc over that ch
10loop, fasten Off.
This loop will be used to join you Belt around the hips, Attach to that ring long chains ?as long
you desire, or attach leather strips, too a friend of mine made one with leather and was good.
JOIN:
Use second dc of 3 dc group(petals), to join motif, join 2 petals see picture.
Make as many flowers you will need to obtain the size desired, leave in the front about 5 inches
of space, between first flower and last one.
