يُكَلّفُ(5) سيفُ الدّوْلَةِالجيشَ هَمّهُ وَقد عَجِزَتْ عنهُ الجيوشُ الخضارمُ(6)
وَيَطلُبُ عندَ النّـاسِ مـا عندَ نفسِــه وَذلكَ مــا لا تَـدّعيـــهِ الضّرَاغِــــمُ(7)
يُفَدّي(8) أتَمُّ الطّيرِ عُمْراًسِلاحَــهُ نُسُورُ الفَلا(9) أحداثُهاوَالقَشاعِــــمُ
وَمـا ضَــرّها خَلْقٌ بــغَيرِمَخالِــبٍ وَقَدْ خُلِقَتْ أسيـــافُهُ وَالقَوائِــــــــمُ(10)
هَلِ الحَدَثُ الحَمراءُتَـعرِفُ لوْنَهـا وَتَعْلَمُ أيُّ السّاقِيَيْنِ الغَمَائِـــــــــــمُ(11)
سَقَتْها الغَمَامُ الغُرُّ(12)قَبْلَ نُزُولِهِ فَلَمّا دَنَا مِنها سَقَته االجَماجِـــــــــمُ
بَنَاهَا فأعْلى وَالقَنَا يَقْرَعُ القَنَـا(13) وَمَوْجُ المَنَايَا(14) حَوْلَها مُتَلاطِمُ
وَكانَ بهَا مثْـلُ الـجُنُونِ فأصْبَحَــتْ على الدّينِ بالخَطّيّ وَالدّهْرُ رَاغِمُ(17)
تُفيتُ ?اللّيـالـي كُـلَّ شــيءٍأخَـذْتَــهُ وَهُنّ لِمَا يأخُذْنَ منكَ غَــــــــوَارِمُ(18)
إذا كانَ ما تَنْوِيهِ فِعْـلاً مُضـارِعـــاً مَضَى قبلَ أنْ تُلقى علَيهِ الجَوازِمُ(19)
وكيفَ تُرَجّي الرّومُ والرّوسُ(20)هدمَها وَذا الطّعْنُ آساسٌ لهَاوَدَعائِـــــــمُ
وَقَد حاكَمُوهَا وَالمَنَايَاحَوَاكِمٌ(21) فَما ماتَ مَظلُومٌ وَلا عاشَ ظالِــــمُ

مرة أخرى يتنفس نسمة الحرية(2)، ولكن الجو غبار خانق(3) وحر لا يطاق. وفي انتظاره وجد بدلته الزرقاء وحذاءه المطاط(4)، وسواهما لم يجد في انتظاره أحدا.
ها هي الدنيا تعود، وها هو باب السجن الأصم يبتعد منطويا على الأسرار البائسة(5). هذه الطرقات المثقلة بالشمس(6)، وهذه السيارات المجنونة(7(، والعابرون والجالسون(8)، والبيوت والدكاكين، ولا شفة تفتر عن ابتسامة(9 .. (وهو واحد، خسر الكثير، حتى الأعوام الغالية خسر منها أربعة غدرا(10)، وسيقف عما قريب أمام الجميع متحديا. آن للغضب أن ينفجر وأن يحرق(11)، وللخونة أن ييأسوا حتى الموت، وللخيانة أن تكفر عن سحنتها الشائهة. نبوية عليش، كيف انقلب الاسمان اسما واحدا(12)؟، أنتما تعملان لهذا اليوم ألف حساب(13(، وقديما ظننتما أن باب السجن لن ينفتح،
ولعلكما تترقبان في حذر، ولن أقع في الفخ(14)، ولكنى سأنقض في الوقت المناسب كالقدر(15). وسناء إذا خطرت في النفس انجاب عنها الحر والغبار والبغضاء والكدر. وسطع الحنان(16) فيها كالنقاء غب المطر. ماذا تعرف الصغيرة عن أبيها؟... كالطريق والمارة والجو المنصهر(17). طوال أربعة أعوام لم تغب عن باله، وتدرجت في النمو وهي صورة غامضة(18)، فهل يسمح الحظ بمكان يصلح لتبادل الوفاء. وينعم في ظله السرور، والخيانة ذكرى كريهة بائدة؟... استعن بكل ما أوتيت من دهاء(19)، ولتكن ضربتك قوية كصبرك الطويل وراء الجدران، جاءكم من يغوص في الماء كالسمكة ويطير في الهواء كالصقر ويتسلق الجدران(20( كالفأر وينفذ من الأبواب كالرصاص(21). وترى بأي وجه يلقاك؟(22) كيف تتلاقى العينان؟
(23) أنسيت يا عليش كيف كنت تتمسح في ساقي كالكلب؟(24) ألم أعلمك الوقوف على قدمين؟ من الذي جعل من جامع الأعقاب رجلا؟(25) ولم تنس وحدك يا عليش ولكنها نسيت أيضا، تلك المرأة النابتة في طينة نتنة اسمها الخيانة(26)، ومن خلال هذا الكدر المنتشر لا يبسم إلا وجهك يا سناء، وعما قريب سأخبر مدى حظي من لقياك، عندما أقطع الشارع ذا البواكي العابسة(27(، طريق الملاهي البائدة، الصاعدة إلى غير رفعة(28)، أشهد أني أكرهك(29( .
