عندنا 16 استخدام ل (,) حنقسمهم على 5 اجزاء عشان اسهل عليكم
اول خمس استخدامات:
1- للفصل بين مجموعة من الاشياء في قائمة او سلسلة وتحل الفاصلة محل الكلمات and or or
بدل ان نكتب John had a pencil and a pen and a ruler and an exercise book in his bag.
نكتب: John had a pencil, a pen, a ruler, an an exercise book in his bag.
ملاحظة: آخر كلمة and في الجملة لا نستبدلها بالفاصلة ولا نضع حولها اي علامة ترقيم
قلنا انو الفاصلة تفصل بين مجموعة من الاشياء في سلسلة او قائمة. هذه القائمة قد تكون مجموعة من الكلمات، افعال. مثال
Don't shout, run, jump about or make any disturbance whilst the exam is in.
2- عندما نتحدث إلى او نخاطب شخصا نفصل الاسم او اللقب عن بقية الجملة بفاصلة. نشوف الامثلة التالية
James, please turn off the television.
Please, James, turn off the television.
Please turn off the television, James.
في هذه الامثلة فصلنا اسم James بفاضلة لاننا كنا نخاطبه ونكلمه مباشرة
3- عند استخدام العبارات yes, no,well, please or thank you كجزء من الجواب نستخدم الفاصلة لفصل هذه الكلمات عن بقية الجملة
No, I don't mind at all, thank you.
4- نستخدمها لفصل ال question tag عن بقية الجملة

نسيت اقول في هذا التمرين ضعوا كل علامات الترقيم الضرورية باستثناء speech marks

نكمل الجزء الثاني من موضوع: The comma
5- نستخدم الفاصلة لفصل كلمات او مجموعة كلمات تكون غير ضرورية للمعنى. مثل
Nick, who likes to ride his bike to school, is in Mr Cooper's class
في هذا المثال نحن بنتحدث عن Nick وذكرنا ملاحظتين عنه
1- he likes to ride his bike to school
2- he's in Mr Cooper's class
لكن لو قلنا : Nick is in Mr Cooper's class بدون ذكر الجملة بين الفاصلة نجد ان الجملة مفهومة ،لذا وضعنا فاصلة قبل جملة who likes وختمنا نهايتها بفاصلة
جملة who likes to ride his bike to school مثال على ما يسمى non-restrictive relative clause
توضع فاصلة عندما يضيف ال relative clause معلومات إضافية للجملة
Whitefield High School, which has 50 classrooms, is outside the town
يمكن نستغنى عن جملة which has 50 classrooms ومعنى الجملة يكون واضح ومفهوم
طيب ياحلوين، بس مش كل مرة بشوف who- which- that اقوم احذفهم على اساس انهم مش ضروريين للمعنى
نشوف حالات ما بنقدر نفهم إيش حاصل بدون that-who-which
A house whose windows are broken is draughty
لو حذفنا الجملة البدياتها whose ما حنعرف اي بيت المقصود . لهذا السبب ما وضعنا الفاصلة
كمان بنستخدم الفاصلة قبل ال participle clauses وسميت بهذا الاسم لاستخدام ال present participle البينتهي ب -ing و ال past participle البينتهي ب -ed فيها. نشوف امثلة
Dressed smartly in his uniform, Michael left for camp.
نضع الفاصلة بين الكلمات التي يمكن استخدامها كصفة لموضوع الجملة الرئيسي

5- نستخدم الفاصلة لفصل كلمات او مجموعة كلمات تكون غير ضرورية للمعنى. مثل

في هذا المثال نحن بنتحدث عن Nick وذكرنا ملاحظتين عنه
1- he likes to ride his bike to school
2- he's in Mr Cooper's class
لكن لو قلنا : Nick is in Mr Cooper's class بدون ذكر الجملة بين الفاصلة نجد ان الجملة مفهومة ،لذا وضعنا فاصلة قبل جملة who likes وختمنا نهايتها بفاصلة
